Proteins

Proteins are a macronutrient like carbohydrates and fats.

Many people aren't aware of daily protein intake goals or how close or far they are from achieving them. Some people require tremendous amounts - if malnourished, or if they exercise rigorously, for example.

Proteins can be sourced from plants or animals. Animal protein, normally from whey, is considered "biologically complete" as it contains all the amino acids we would need. There are few plants that are biologically complete, so many plant protein sources are "blends" of multiple plants.

When searching for a proper protein supplement, be aware of adulteration concerns. Minimally processed, great tasting, pure protein from clean sources is achievable and doesn't have to be expensive.
