Marine Algae-3 contains the same EPA and DHA fatty acids found in fish oil that are vital nutrients for healthy heart and brain function. Microalgae are a key source of omega-3 EFAs. Other plant sources, such as flax, chia and hemp seeds, have alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a shorter chain omega-3, which the body can only partially convert into EPA and DHA. Marine Algae-3 has highly concentrated preformed EPA and DHA, bypassing the need for conversion.
